👨 "We're just going to look."
..and came home with a dog.

👨 "The dog is NOT getting on the furniture."
..while sharing half the couch.

👨 "I'm not carrying treats everywhere."
..currently has treats in every jacket pocket.

👨 "It's your dog."
..but somehow has 4,000 photos of them on his phone.

To all the dads who secretly became their dog's favorite human, thank you for the walks, the treats, the adventures, and the endless belly rubs.

We hope your day is filled with wagging tails, slobbery kisses, and at least one uninterrupted nap. 😴🐕

Does your dog struggle with distractions, excitement, or uncertainty in new environments? Our Out & About Social Skills Class is designed to help dogs learn how to stay focused, calm, and confident while navigating everyday life.

🐕 Practice real-world skills in public settings

This is not a dog park play group. Dogs and handlers will work together through structured exercises that teach appropriate social skills, engagement, and confidence in a variety of environments.

Think your dog is just being “stubborn”? Think again—dogs are constantly learning, whether we mean to teach them or not!

Here are some fun (and important!) facts 👇

🐾 Dogs learn by association
If something good (or scary!) happens around a trigger, they’ll remember that feeling—not just the event.

🐾 Timing is EVERYTHING
You have about 1–2 seconds for your dog to connect a reward to a behavior. Late rewards = confusing lessons!

🐾 Repetition builds habits
Dogs don’t “just get it” after one try. Consistency is what turns a behavior into second nature.

🐾 They’re always learning… even when you’re not training
Jumping, barking, pulling—if it works for them, they’ll keep doing it!

🐾 Stress blocks learning
An overwhelmed dog can’t focus. Calm brain = learning brain 🧠

🐾 Rewards > punishment
Dogs learn faster and build stronger, lasting behaviors when they’re reinforced for what to do, not punished for what not to do.
