An update on our Lily!

To begin with, being a responsible breeder is emotionally, physically and financially hard. It’s not about making money from puppies it’s about breeding a well bred (structure and temperament) dog that meets the breed standards and to give each puppy the best start. This requires a huge commitment and 24/7 thoughtful care of puppies and parents. The pay off is when a wonderful puppy is paired with their perfect family and they all blossom together. This is my why!

Our latest breeding was not successful.

Lily was showing all the signs of being pregnant. We went in for her confirmation ultrasound on Wednesday and discovered no puppies but also discovered a concern with here uterus and possible infection. The recommendation was to spay her. Her surgery was this morning and she is back at home doing well. Her uterus had several cysts and one had ruptured (the cause of this is hormone related) There would have been zero chance of her conceiving. I am relieved this was discovered and she will now continue living her happy life being very loved.
