In Loving Memory of Sweet P | 2014–2026
Some dogs leave paw prints on our hearts that time can never erase. Sweet P was one of those dogs.
Adopted from TSBR in October 2014, Sweet P spent the next twelve years doing exactly what we hope for every dog who comes through our rescue: living a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and family.
And what a life it was!
Sweet P wasn’t just handsome (although strangers regularly stopped to tell him so!). He was incredibly smart, too. He understood both English and Vietnamese, could open doors, and had mastered the art of outsmarting his sister, Lil Bit, during their swimming adventures. While she raced for tennis balls, Sweet P calculated the perfect entry point into the pool, making sure he got to the ball first!
But his greatest gift wasn’t his good looks or his intelligence. It was the love he gave his family every single day.
On October 5, 2026, Sweet P peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving behind twelve years of beautiful memories and a family who adored him.
His family shared a touching tribute with us, and one line especially captured the life we wish for every TSBR dog:
“We will always cherish our time together and are grateful that he is now at peace and free of pain.”
To Sweet P’s family, thank you for giving him twelve wonderful years. Knowing that a dog we helped rescue went on to be loved so deeply is what makes this work so meaningful.
Run free, Sweet P. May the tennis balls be endless, the steaks plentiful, and the swimming pools always open.
Once a TSBR dog, always part of our family.
