Luna is a 3 yr old American Pitbull terrier found abandoned by her owner and babies at a gas station looking for a kind, loving, patient & committed home.

Animal Care & Control scheduled to euthanize her and H3 saved her life. Waiting since September 2025

I honestly don’t understand how this girl keeps getting overlooked 💔

Luna has been safe in foster care for months after being rescued from a euthanasia list, and somehow she still hasn’t had someone choose her.

She’s the kind of dog who wants to be close to her people, curl up next to you on the couch, go for car rides, and soak up belly rubs in the sun ☀️🐾

A few things about Luna:
• potty trained
• walks nicely on leash
• knows multiple commands
• great with kids
• dog friendly
• low-medium energy / major couch potato vibes
• loves toys, beach days & cuddles

She does need an experienced, patient home willing to continue confidence-building, force-free training. She can be nervous with some new people at first, has allergies managed with diet, and would do best in a secure home since she’s a bit of an escape artist when anxious.

We are unsure about cats due to her prey drive.

Luna is with Hospitality Helping Hands Dog Rescue, and there is a full application + home check process to make sure she finds the right fit 🩷

Luna is the kind of dog who will happily melt into the couch beside you, soak up belly rubs, and look at you like you’re her whole world. After everything she’s been through, this sweet mama deserves a forever family who will choose HER.

She’s approximately 3 years old, dog-friendly, great with kids, potty trained, and knows several commands. She loves car rides, beach days, cozy naps, and being close to her people. 🐾

Luna is currently being fostered through Hospitality Helping Hands Dog Rescue after being saved from an urgent euthanasia list. She’s safe now — but what she truly needs is a forever home where she can continue building confidence and feeling loved.

Because of her high prey drive, we are unsure how she would do with cats. A patient adopter willing to continue positive, force-free training would help this beautiful girl continue to shine. ✨

🐾 Everyone keeps scrolling past me… maybe you won’t 💛

Hi… I’m Luna.

I’m about 3 years old, and I’ve been waiting for someone to choose me.

Not just for a day… not just until it gets hard…
but someone who will really commit to me.

I’m not the kind of dog who demands attention—I just like to be close to you.
Following you around… laying near you… being part of your world.

Most days, I’m a total couch potato.
But if you ask me, I’m always ready for:
🚗 car rides
🌊 beach days
🐾 playing with other dogs

I really love other dogs… but what I want most is my person.

I’ll be honest with you…
I bond really deeply, so I don’t love being left alone.
And sometimes new indoor places or new people can make me a little unsure at first.

But I’m trying.
And with the right person, I know I’ll keep growing.

I don’t need perfect…
but I do need someone who will choose me—and keep choosing me.

“Not every Easter story has a happy ending… yet.”

🌸🐣 This Easter, Luna is still waiting… 🐣🌸

While so many are celebrating new beginnings, Luna is still hoping for hers 💛

After 6 months in foster care, she finally had her very first meet & greet yesterday—and she did AMAZING. Calm, well-behaved, and such a good girl.

Now she just needs someone to choose her… because she’s still waiting for her first application.

🐾 Dog-friendly (even with small dogs)
🐾 Great with kids
🐾 Walks nicely on leash
🐾 Low–moderate energy (loves to lounge + short playful bursts)

🐾 Has allergies and does best on a consistent, strict diet

🐾 Still Waiting… 6 Months Later 🐾

For nearly six months, Luna has been quietly waiting in foster care… watching other dogs get chosen while she stays behind.

She doesn’t understand why.
She just keeps loving anyway. 💔

Luna is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her people — the kind who will follow you from room to room, curl up next to you on the couch, and look at you like you’re her whole world.

✨ About Luna:
🐾 3 years old, ~60 lbs
🐾 Spayed female
🐾 Dog-friendly (does well with small dogs)
🐾 Great with kids (even toddlers!)
🐾 House trained & walks nicely on leash
🐾 Low–moderate energy (total couch potato with playful bursts)

She’s currently learning to feel safe and confident through force-free training, and she’s come SUCH a long way. She may be a little unsure at first, but once she trusts you… it’s something really special.

Luna would do best with someone experienced who can continue to guide her and help her feel secure — but she will give that person her entire heart.
