Meet Kodak! 🐾✨

Kodak is staying with us for boarding while his mom is away, and he’s having a blast with the other dogs—and, of course, soaking up all the love from the humans! But his stay isn’t just about fun; he’s also working on off-leash obedience training so he can safely enjoy his family’s new 200-acre property with freedom and reliability.

With so much land to explore—and plenty of wildlife like deer, turkeys, and other critters—his mom wants peace of mind knowing she can trust him to listen, no matter what distractions come his way.

At Trust Your Dog K9 Academy, we use a reward-based balanced training approach that’s tailored to each dog’s individual needs. That means we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method—every dog learns differently. For Kodak, we’re focusing on recall, boundaries, and responsiveness to ensure he can roam and explore while still listening when called.

He’s already making great progress, and we can’t wait to see him enjoying his off-leash freedom with confidence!

A year ago, this dog wouldn’t have dared sit with his back to me—too unsure, too uneasy. Searching for odor in a brand-new space? Not a chance.

But today? He owned it. Tail wagging, nose working, confidence shining. He tackled the search like a pro, proving just how powerful trust and training can be.
