Last week, we said goodbye to my sweet beautiful girl, Korra Jane.

Not only was she my companion, she was one of the big reasons I picked up a camera in the first place. If you’ve followed my work over the years, you’ve definitely seen her. She was always ready to pose, always patient while I figured things out. My little sidekick.

Korra showed me how to really see dogs. Not just how they look, but who they are. She helped me learn how to capture their personality, their heart and bring it to life through the lens. She was the soul behind my camera before I even knew what I was doing.

She taught me that the best photos aren’t the perfect ones, they’re the real ones. Pets are unapologetically themselves and that’s what I had always hoped to capture.. Dogs being dogs. 🐾

Every time I photograph another dog just being themselves, I know Korra will be with me.

She was my best friend, my heart, my home.

Ive said it once and I’ll say it again -
you will never regret getting photos taken of your fur babies ❤️
