Due to the potential for snowfall in the early morning, December 2nd, 2025, we kindly request that you contact the shop prior to your departure to ensure that your Groomer has arrived safely and is not delayed due to inclement weather conditions.

Additionally, we would like to offer the option to reschedule your appointment if you are uncomfortable driving in the morning. Please inform us of your preferred course of action, and we will endeavor to accommodate your availability and requirements.

It’s an extraordinary privilege to have met a superhero at Animal Castle. This past Tuesday, we had the incredible opportunity to meet Miss Moxie, a German Shepherd mix who was also a rescue dog. We’re thrilled to share her inspiring story with you.

Meet Miss Moxie, a courageous and resilient dog who found herself in a life-threatening situation. She was a rescue dog herself, and her story is a testament to the power of hope and the unbreakable bond between humans and animals.

One fateful night in July, Miss Moxie’s mom and human brother were asleep when a devastating fire broke out in their kitchen. In a moment of pure instinct, Miss Moxie managed to escape her crate and bravely climbed the stairs. She started jumping on her mother, waking her up and alerting her to the danger.

When her mother awoke, she found the apartment filled with smoke. Initially, she mistook Miss Moxie’s actions for a request to go outside. However, as she struggled to breathe, she realized the gravity of the situation. Without hesitation, she grabbed her son and rushed to get out of the house.

Neighbors had already called 911, and when the police officer arrived, Miss Moxie had collapsed due to smoke inhalation. The officer swiftly rushed her outside, laid her on the ground, and returned inside to retrieve her mom and little brother.

Upon their return, the fire department arrived and administered oxygen to Miss Moxie. To everyone’s astonishment, she immediately bounced back to her feet, demonstrating her incredible resilience and determination.

Miss Moxie’s story is a heartwarming reminder of the incredible bond between humans and animals. She not only saved her own life but also returned the favor by rescuing her humans and saving their lives. Her bravery and compassion serve as an inspiration to all who encounter her.

Moxie got the full spa treatment she deserved by our beloved Michael, and the rest of our team. Welcome to the family Moxie, we are so honored that you decided to join us. ❤️💜💙🐾🐾🐕🐕

At Animal Castle, we firmly believe in the importance of family and supporting one another. We were deeply saddened to learn of Beverly’s passing. Beverly joined Joanne Trubee, sometime between 1970 -1980,after Joanne opened Animal Castle in 1954. Then shortly afterwards Bev’s daughter joined her mom at Animal Castle to become groomers also. Both Beverly and her daughters were skilled groomers and eventually went on to open their own grooming business, Bubbles N Bows. It’s fascinating how Bubbles N Bows and Animal Castle have been intertwined in some way. In this incredibly sad moment, we want to extend our heartfelt love and prayers to her family, and staff at Bubbles N Bows. I can only imagine the conversations Joanne, Cindi, and Beverly are having up there, catching up on all the gossip. We know that the three of them are watching over both shops, ensuring that we are all safe and protected. Rest in peace, Ms. Beverly. We all love you. ❤️💙❤️🕊️🕊️

Who doesn’t adore puppies?

Guess what? These two adorable little ladies had a blast together and got their very first puppy introduction today! Little Ms. Lady, the most charming and shy little girl at first, but she’ll melt your heart instantly. And little Ms. CeCe, who is the complete opposite of her sister. She’s super brave and curious about everything, incredibly sweet, and will wiggle her way into your heart with a touch of sassiness. Both of these little girls are 16-week-old Standard Poodles and had the royal treatment and the love and care of their new favorite groomer, Michael, at our Centerville location!

Welcome to the Animal Castle family, Lady & CeCe! We’re all so excited to see you both grow into beautiful girls and become besties with our Michael.

Good evening everyone. Tonight, we're thrilled to share an inspiring story about one of our beloved clients and his courageous pup, Clifford. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year, Clifford underwent a rigorous treatment process and is now making a remarkable recovery. His doctors are optimistic about his continued progress, and we're delighted to report that Clifford recently received a clean bill of health. He and his sister even visited our shop on Friday morning, where they were showered with love, hugs, and affection from our team, including Michael. Clifford's resilience and spirit are a testament to the power of hope and determination. Let's rally around him and help share his uplifting story with the world. 💜💜🐾🐾

We’re thrilled that our clients trust us so much that they love it when we surprise them with a touch of fun and creativity. Meet Wilby, a two-year-old Old English Sheepdog, proudly sporting his “fancy Rocker” and an electric blue/purple hairdo. And his little sister, Winnie, a nine-month-old sassy and very “spicy” pup, is equally stylish, rocking her own “Rocker Chic” electric blue/pink/green hairdo. Both are ready to enjoy the nice weather by the pool this summer, savoring tasty pup treats and maybe even a mid-evening pup-appropriate beverage with their favorite humans!
