They went to their foster-to-adopt home this week, so they will be adopted together. 🥰

They still need to get some bloodwork done & a heartworm test for both. Bernie has a big growth coming out of his umbilical area. I'm not sure if this is just a large hernia or not. But, it is in the same location as an umbilical hernia. I've just never seen one this big if that's what it is. We are going to get this removed for him as long as the vet says it is safe to do.

The bloodwork & exams will be $240 total for both, plus however much it will cost for the heartworm tests, rabies v a x x, & probably the removal of this large growth. Luckily, they are both already fixed.

Diamond was adopted! 🥳

Diamond spent the first year of her life confined in the back of a U-Haul. She was confiscated by Animal Control and held for a cruelty case for almost a full year. Somehow, this strong girl managed to keep some composure, which ultimately saved her life. The shelter contacted me for help because she was not adoptable to the general public.

Luckily, Anna Kwiatkowski saw my plea for help and she blew up my phone (😅) to let me know that she wanted to help Diamond. To say that I was ecstatic is an understatement. Anna and her husband are very special people. They were going to start their own Rottweiler rescue at one point. They have rescued multiple dogs on their own and they are very experienced in what they do. They were exactly what sweet Diamond needed to be rehabilitated.

They decided that she was exactly what they were missing in their household and they decided to adopt her. ❤️ I am SO happy for all of them. Diamond will be living the dream as a spoiled princess. 👑💎

Bernie & Bella were the 2 seniors that were left in the house in Warren. People were supposed to be feeding them while their owner was in rehab and those people never showed up for the dogs. After 5 days in the home with no food or water, their owner contacted me for help. We got the dogs out of there and they've been with a foster ever since. The deal was that we would keep them until July 16th.

Well, the owner never contacted me when she got out and she still hasn't called me.. So, they are now officially Great Lakes Rott Rescue dogs. They are extremely sweet dogs. They have been together their whole lives and we will be keeping it that way. They are being fostered with other dogs and they are doing great with all of them.
