Let's call it collaboration Wednesday. Today our Danville volunteers are transporting 46 dogs and cats to Staunton and one step closer to furever homes. Almost every week, we transport animals to our northern Virginia team and this week our friends at SPCA of Pittsylvania County Henry County, VA Animal Shelter and Martinsville Henry County SPCA hitched a ride. Special thanks to Hail Mary Rescue for always letting us use their van when we need extra space. Teamwork makes the dream work!

115! May was a very busy month for our team. We transferred 115 animals into our care last month from the Danville community. Here's what the number breakdown looks like:

Total Intakes: 115
From DAHS: 61
Owner Surrender: 54

Total Dogs: 22
Total Cats: 93

TNVR Total Cats Spay/Neuter: 44
Community Cats: 36
Owned Cats: 8

We also continue our community pet pantry and assistance to community members in need. Special thanks to our incredible team of fosters and volunteers. Animal welfare can be exhausting work and we appreciate your growing support! Here's to a great June ❤️
