✨🐾 ADOPTION EVENT UPDATE 🐾✨

Yesterday at our Nebraska Furniture Mart adoption event, FOUR of our pups found their forever families!! 🎉 Maple, Willow, Morrigan, and Ash all went home 🏡💖

And believe it or not—sweet Bea was adopted before we even left for the event! She didn’t even make it to the party because her family found her first 🥹💞

That means 5 amazing dogs now get to start their new lives with loving families. 🐕💕

But… our hearts are a little heavy 💔 Juniper, Olive, Wren, and Phoebe came to the event, wagging tails and hopeful eyes, only to return to the shelter—confused, wondering why they weren’t “the chosen ones.” These sweet pups are still waiting for their forever families. 🥺🐾

We KNOW their perfect homes are out there, and we’ll keep cheering them on until they find their people. Could it be you? 💕

🐾💖 MEET MAYA – THE QUEEN HIPPO OF OUR HEARTS! 💖🐾

Everyone, please say hello to Maya – our gorgeous 4-year-old Pitbull and the official staff & volunteer favorite! 🥰 This beautiful “land hippo” has stolen all of our hearts with her sweet smile, gentle nature, and snuggle-loving personality.

Maya is the total package – she’s playful 🎾, loves her walks 🚶‍♀️, and has the kind of warm, soulful eyes that melt you in seconds. When she’s not enjoying outdoor adventures, you’ll find her leaning in for hugs, soaking up pets, and reminding you that life’s better with a hippo by your side. 💕

She has not been tested with other dogs at this time, so a meet and greet is required if there are other dogs in the home. 🐶

She’s adored by everyone here, and we can’t believe she hasn’t found her forever couch yet. Maya’s ready to give you all the love in the world – she just needs her perfect family to find her. 🏡

Our shelves are almost empty of bleach 🧼 and liquid Tide laundry detergent 🫧 — two things we rely on every single day to keep up with the several loads of laundry we do for our shelter pets. 🐾💖

We use these items daily to keep bedding, towels, and toys fresh and clean for our animals. Without them, it’s tough to keep things as comfy and sanitary as they deserve.

🐾 Female Feline Friday – Meet Midnight & Jasmine! 🐾

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on two gorgeous girls who are ready to purr their way into your heart. 💖

🌙 Midnight – 8-year-old grey & white beauty with the sweetest soul.
Midnight is an adorably affectionate lady who’s looking for a calm, relaxing home where she can share your time, lap, and maybe even your bed! She adjusts well to gentle-natured cats, enjoys quiet companionship, and will happily curl up next to you for love and attention. She’s a gentle girl who likes her space respected but will reward your patience with endless affection (and some adorable playtime, too!).

🌸 Jasmine – 8-month-old Siamese cutie (cream, brown & white).
Jasmine is a darling little sweetheart who needs a calm but fun home. She may be a little jumpy at first, but with cuddles, toys, and patient love, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate companion. She’s still learning her cat social skills, so she’d do best with tolerant, friendly cats—or as your one-and-only! Jasmine loves tunnels, toys, and the occasional zoomie, and will happily trade playtime for cuddle breaks.

Both girls are spayed, healthy, and waiting for the perfect homes where they can feel safe, loved, and adored.

Today, we’re giving a huge shout-out to Wiggle Butt Academy for the incredible gift of their time, expertise, and hearts! 💛

Several days each week, their amazing team comes to our shelter to work with our dogs — whether it’s:
🐾 Evaluating them behaviorally
🐾 Helping with basic commands and manners
🐾 Building confidence with new people and environments
🐾 Dog testing and organizing big, happy play groups

Their dedication has been monumental in helping us prepare our adoptable dogs for the happy, successful lives they deserve. 🐶✨

If you have a pup that could use a little extra training, confidence building, or socialization, we can’t recommend Wiggle Butt Academy enough. Trust us — you won’t regret it! 💕

Leo – 1-year-old FIV+ love bug who wants to be your ONLY pet. Sweet, laid-back, and ready to soak up all your attention.
