BGAR and the ladies from Community Cats of Paris, Tx have joined forces to help with the overwhelming Cat population in Paris and surrounding areas! So far within 1 month of starting this program we will have spay/neutered/ 67 cats and 24 FVRCP vaccinations given. Total $5167.00
Sadly, There is a disgruntle person posting anonymously on Paris Community page and going around telling folks Baby Gunns was given $7000 for this TNR program by the City of Paris (Lamar county humane association got $15,000) and just want to clarify that the money was given to us per request of Chief Salter to help us at Baby Gunns animal rescue with every day expenses, whether that be vetting, food bill which is $1200 a month, light bill $1100 a month etc whatever we needed it for As a thank you for helping the Shelter and all the unwanted dogs/cats in our area. I (Sheri Ashford) felt the greatest need at this time was help with stray/unwanted cats and kittens in our area. Every since 2012 when started rescue, there’s been talk of getting this program started and nothing ever happened, so that’s why we chose this program as the biggest need in Paris at this time, not knowing how much this was going to cost and the huge response! We run on donations only and are thrilled to be able to make a difference in our community! Rescue is not a competition! Teamwork is the key!!
With that being said, we have a HUGE surprise coming to Paris, Tx and will post it shortly!! 🐾❤️🐾😺🐾❤️🐾

Sandys Feral-Fun and Dr. Jennifer Thedford of Legacy Vet clinic in McKinney, Tx have most graciously made time to come to Paris, Tx and do a low cost shot clinic as well as 100 spays and neuters on Sept 6th at our adoption center 118 Lamar Paris, Tx from 9 to 5!! This clinic is open to ALL!! Kittens 12 week old and older!
Feral cats need to be in a live trap, but socialized strays, and inside cats can be in a hard sided cat carrier or wire crate. Only one cat per carrier, crate or trap. We will cut off the surgery time around 4 PM so the crew can pack up and get on their way. We will stay open for pick ups until 5. People need to be checked in by noon for their cats to be fixed the same day.
Spay/neuter Fee is $55 and includes the sterilization, rabies vaccine and left ear tipping to signify The cats have been fixed. This is for feral, semi feral and inside cats. Payment is due in advance in order to keep the no-show rate down and is nonrefundable.
Other vaccines can be given at the time of the spay or neuter for an additional cost.
Pregnant queens are an additional $20-$40 depending on the gestational age.
To get on the schedule for spay/neuter, you simply send over your payment with a note in the comment with the number of cats, the genders of those cats and the Sept 6th clinic. Shot clinic is walk in and pay when get there.
