Have you ever thought of running for a Rodeo Princess or Queen? Do you enjoy rodeo, horses, fashion and supporting a good cause?

We are kicking off Queens Contest for The Ellis County Livestock Show & Rodeo. Applications are up on the website. Contestants must be ages 9 - 26 years old to be eligible. We provide practice sessions so don’t worry if you are interested but have never done anything like this before. Check out the Ellis County website https://www.ecyexpo.com/p/events/queens-contest.

Applications are due February 17th. Please let me know if you have any questions. I’m coordinating the contest again this year.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of Gary Holman’s passing on November 26th. He brought joy and laughter to everyone he knew. He will always be remembered for all he did for Cedar Hill Saddle Club. Services will be held next Friday, December 13th. Attached are the details. Please keep his wife, Lynda, and family in prayer.

This is being rescheduled for March 1 due to the rain we received this morning.

Hello to all our horse riding family and friends! Spring is around the corner and we’re ready to start getting those horses and ourselves in shape and ready to compete. We’d like to invite anyone who wants to ride and wants to start knocking the dust off their saddle to join us for an open arena ride on Feb 22. Please see the flyer below for details. We hope to see you there!

It’s that time of year…..meeting time! We would like to have a meeting for any one that is interested in the Cedar Hill saddle club. We would like to find out what events you are interested in the club hosting. We would like to find out if any members or potential members are interested in joining the national association. We also need to elect new officers. The President and Arena Director are our most critical ones to fill. After serving for the past 3 years, it is time for these two positions to transfer to someone new.

The meeting will be Wednesday the 12th at 7:30 pm at the Pizza Inn in Midlothian. If you are not available but are interested in becoming a member and/or officer, please let us know.

A big thank you to everyone that worked so hard to organize and run the playday yesterday. Our members plus a few friends definitely rallied to make it a fun day with great ground. We really appreciate everyone that came out to the playday. Congratulations to all our buckle winners and our custom halter winner!
