About The Art
Whether provided by a client, or photographed personally by Alton, all of Laura’s paintings begin from a photograph. All are hand painted, stroke by stroke, starting with the background and working in. The final work is done on the eyes, the central detail of the painting, where the spirit of the pet lies. The painting is then finished either on a gallery wrapped canvas to be hung without framing, or on a flat canvas shipped ready for framing.

Thank you to Lisa Rivera for choosing me to paint for you! Here is Dax, her beloved pup. She had recently lost him and I was honored to be able to produce a loving memory of him.
It was painted as an 11x14 wrapped canvas.

Here is what she wrote after receiving her painting:
"I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Laura Alton Paw Prints for creating a beautiful portrait of my beloved Dax. His memory will remain with me forever, and I am deeply grateful for the profound impact he had on my life. Every dog is unique and special in their own way, and Dax payed a vital role in helping me navigate a challenging period. I will always cherish his memory and appreciate the time we shared.
