After almost a decade of traditional practice, Dr. Pam Montgomery-Fittz established Vitality Pet Care, LLC to bring new options of treatment for our four-legged, furry friends to pet owners in the DFW Metroplex. What started out as mobile acupuncture practice in 2001 grew into a multiple modality veterinary office utilizing: Whole Food Nutrition, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Food Therapy, animal chiropractic, western herbs, functional medicine, and homeopathy on selected cases. In addition, Dr. Pam also offers Functional Blood Work Analysis to help identify existing imbalances and correct issues before disease starts.
Vitality Pet Care (VPC) partners with clients’ regular veterinarians to bring about the best possible care for pets. While VPC offers only holistic modalities, it is the integration of the two treatment philosophies that provides a comprehensive approach to maintaining the health and well being of our fur babies. VPC’s focus is creating a solid foundation with whole food nutrition and building a strong framework of health using other modalities that are appropriate to the case. In pets with disease, the treatment plan often wraps around that of the veterinary specialist or regular veterinarian and works to strengthen the pets, allowing the pet to wean off of pharmaceuticals wherever possible. The focus is always improving that pet’s energy and quality of life. In addition, young puppies and kittens are started on a Path of Wellness at an early age to maximize health, while minimizing the development of disease.
In August 2019, Dr. Pam closed her practice to pursue the development of online courses for pet owners and veterinarians. Dr. Pam’s new venture, Dr. Pam Holistic Vet, promises to bring more awareness and knowledge to more people to help our furry little friends live a rich and vital life!
