🚨 PUPDATE : Our boy is home! He made it several apartment complexes over and after a week on his own, a wonderful person was patient with him and took time to coerce him into her apartment knowing the impending weather was coming.

The 1st available vet appointment was today and she was able to scan him for a chip. She called me immediately.

She took such good care of him and it melts my heart to know that he was in a snuggly blanket on the couch rather than the alternative.

Thank heavens he had a registered microchip! And thank you to Cody's Friends Rescue for constant coaching on how to locate him.

Big thanks to those who helped me look for him, attempting to trap him, helping hang fliers and hang large “Lost Dog” signs at intersections, posting on nextdoor.com, calling shelters and keeping me motivated when I grew very desperate.

Pax is now in his forever home. Adopted by us.

No sightings since 1/11.☹️

Yesterday, 1/18 I spoke with Operation Kindness to see if they happened to pick him up since their facility is in the area. They took his description and created a file for me/him.

I also walked all of the lost dog hallways at Dallas Animal Services and also had the staff check the injured room, just in case.

I call the Carrollton, Farmers Branch and Addison Animal Shelters daily- pretty sure they are highly annoyed by now.

Still nothing. 😕

Pax was seen twice today at Century Park Apartments building 5, near the dumpsters looking for food.

UPDATE: REUNITED!! Pax is home safe & sound after 9 days, 8 hours :)

Message from Owner: Pax is skittish, will run or hide in bushes. If you see him, call me immediately, do not chase. Please put food out and a warm blanket if you can. He is small and it’s freezing outside.

Description: Cream chihuahua/pug mix, black nose and mustache, no collar or harness- he slipped out and ran away

Drove back out tonight and rewalked/ drove sighting areas and 3 apartment complexes. That’s 6 hours today feet on the ground, peaking behind bushes, air conditioners, nooks and crannies.

I am logging the sighting areas & times to see if any habits are made.

I started putting out food in a likely sighting location as regularly as possible to draw him back to the area.

Doing what I can and open to suggestion. 💔
