With severe cold expected, a few simple steps can help keep your dog safe and comfortable:

🐾 Limit time outdoors and watch for shivering or lifting paws
🐾 Wipe paws after walks to remove ice, salt, or chemicals
🐾 Keep dogs warm and dry — sweaters can help, even for bigger pups
🐾 Make sure senior dogs and those with arthritis or neurologic conditions stay extra cozy

A little preparation goes a long way in keeping our pups safe during the cold. Stay warm out there! 💙🐶

Meet Reno! 💙🐾
He’s starting rehab with us at Pawsitive Impact Rehabilitation after being diagnosed with DM — a slow, progressive condition (similar to ALS in humans) that affects the spinal cord and makes it harder for dogs to use their back legs over time.
Reno is facing this journey with so much courage, and he’s not doing it alone. His sister, Jasmine (pictured to his left), is right there supporting him every step of the way. 💛✨

She’s starting rehab with us after an ANNPE — a sudden spinal injury where disc material herniates and puts pressure on the spinal cord, causing pain and possible severe weakness. She’s already working hard, and if you think you’re seeing double… you’re not! That’s her brother, Nugget, right by her side cheering her on. ✨💪
