It’s the annual guess what Jovin weighs contest! This year is going to be tough! He was right at 16 hands last year and weighed 1480. He has gained about half an inch this year. I did however weigh him after about a 5 mile ride. Let the guesses roll in! First picture is 2 years ago the first time I weighed him and the second picture was after weighing him today. 💙

Super fun ride on Jovin today. This is the first time riding Jovin on the trail when he is semi broke to ride. The past rides were just opportunities to get him used to me and the saddle.

This trail is challenging, especially with his height. Had lots of opportunities to fine tune his body control. At one point we passed through a big spider web and a big spider 🕷️ was on his forehead! I’m not a fan of Oklahoma wildlife. I brought his head around and proceeded to swipe the spider off his head quickly with the handle end of my whip. As I did that the other end came around and whipped him in the butt 🤦🏼‍♀️ He got a little worried and quickly moved his butt around like he had been taught 🤷🏼‍♀️ All ended well.

I can honestly say I enjoy riding Jovin as much as any horse I have been on.
