Can Dogs Eat Sweet Potato on Thanksgiving? | Nylabone

I am asked frequently about table foods for pups. I do NOT promote feeding table foods as an alternative or an additive to kibble for every meal. However, there are safe vegetables to give as a treat. Our pups should not be free fed (food sitting in a bowl at all times) they need a schedule and meals just as we do. Not snacking all day. Along with the health issues this can cause, it also causes difficulty in training and being treat motivated.

YES! Our fur babies can have that special treat on Thanksgiving just as we do. Just double check with your local vet or on a viable website to see what they may include. Remember to use as a treat. Small bites, used in moderation in exchange for good behavior. Not as a substitute for his or her meal.

My buddy Whiskey is ”placing” lovely! He is such a good boy!!! Him and his mom have worked very hard. This pup is definitely a match made in heaven for her 💜 I love when I help pet parents bond with their fur babies.
