Why do dogs do most of the things they do? Simply, they find the outcome rewarding.
Little story this morning, Kia has a chew toy Willow wants. Notice Willow has it in the photo? Well, Kia resource guards and Willow knows she can’t take it.
So what does she do? She tricks us; she stands by the door like she has to go out. I get up, asks “do you have to go potty?” and as soon as I finish the words: in comes Kia and Willow runs to the bedroom and back out with the prize!
Next time you wonder why your dog does what they do, ask yourself: what are they wanting and are they getting it?

What a great weekend to meet some new friends! Buddy came into the gym to have some fun off leash fun! Brothers Jax & Ace, Benny, Luna, Charlie, Bambi and Moose all getting a little assistance with their Manners.

Congratulations to our recent Manners class graduates! Penny and Daisy excelled with Puppy Manners, earning their AKC STAR Puppy ribbon! Broly, Kozmo, Graham, Mango, Percy and Saidi behaved beautifully in Adult Manners. Gracie, Bailey, and Juniper aced Advanced Manners!
