So many of you don’t know but years ago I fostered a dog named Courage that was severely injured and had a severed spine. She was paralyzed and nothing could be done as she was like that for quite some time. She was fitted for a wheelchair and I took care of her leg wounds and incontinant issue. I fostered her for foha and Lisa Bolton Vines from MS. I attached the news article she was in. Well the other day I surprised my sister and hijacked her! We are going to Disney springs and a nice sunny resort for a few days. We drove from SC to Kissimmee BUT on the way I went to visit my friends Courage, Kate and Virginia to say HI!!! Hey Walker’s Way Family!! Even though you all see me focus on animals a lot, my family is also very important to me. My siblings and I only have each other since both parents passed. Holidays will never be the same. So, I hopped on a plane for some much needed laughter and assistance to see my sister who is battling sh*tty cancer. We are going to wrap, sing silly Christmas songs, watch a few Christmas movies, make cookies, shop and laugh our asses off making memories!! Hey maybe we will hit a local animal shelter and adopt a pup LOL DON’T TEMPT ME!! I think she needs an emotional support dog lol! SURPRISE!!! More to come!

It’s been a very emotional day for Pete and I as well as our two adult kids as today marks one year we loss our 3rd child Walker! He was our first family dog as a family of 5! Mommy’s boy! The love of our lives! There is not a day that goes by we don’t talk about him! Every song has his name in it, every jingle, every conversation! We miss him so much! Our rescue is named in his honor and he will show me the way to help imperfect dogs just like him! He taught us so much but to especially love all kinds! We miss you Walker Hunky Chunky monkey baby boy! The best boy ever! He is with my parents in heaven being loved unconditionally!

Everyone remembers Devon now, aka the Gator, who started out as a scrawny shelter pup that I just had to spring out of there because let's face it, shelters aren't exactly puppy paradise. Wow just wow and may I say MUCH NEEDED! Thank you Lisa and David Cardente for your generosity this holiday season! The kids are very happy!! On to helping more RI animals in need!!! ❤️ I am proud to say at this time all my fosters found amazing forever homes but we will be at hard work assisting others in need very shortly. My heart is beating with JOY!!
