Custom Laptop bag delivered so I can show off pics! 😍 Denim outer with foam padding throughout, organic cotton lining, large elasticized inner pocket, front outer magnetic snap pocket, Hand Stitched Leather handles, removable leather shoulder strap, antique brass style matching hardware throughout (rivets, zipper, clasps, magnet snap). Double-head zipper opening, bias-bound seams inside. Included a matching mini Composition notebook made from the dark floral cotton. Loved creating this!
I have another available - same outer fabric but with monochrome map print lining, black cotton straps & handles (webbing not leather), & also fits a 9x13 laptop. I'll post that separately soon but send me a message if you'd like to see & (maybe possibly) claim first!!😉😊 Thank you for being here - I've got a lot going on lately in my personal life so my sewing creations aren't near as frequent as I'd like but it's always a joy to create, no matter how big or small. 💞 Upcycled clothing from a loved one 💞
(NFS, custom order.)
I recently made these Hip Belt Bags from a customer's worn & loved garments. From a Denim coat & a cotton flannel button-up shirt, I took my time & worked through all the pieces to ensure each one felt just right. I used the welt pockets & sleeve end from the coat as inner pockets in the bag, used the brown accent collar fabric for the strap connector pieces that frame it on each side. We had enough extra denim to make the straps topstitched with denim & a whole additional (4th) bag I forgot to photograph! 😄 We both absolutely loved how they came out & I feel so good knowing these garments will continue to be used & loved in a whole new way now💖💫

I've recently finished 2 new [Handmade] Sling Bags & finally got photographic evidence! 🎉🤪 So the photos are of one bag that's currently here with me but the other is virtually identical & is in shop at The Unexpected Mercantile-Formerly Little Shop of Hoarders (Mena, AR)!
🌱 Made from a subtle blue, heavy Cotton Canvas (aka duck cloth) & accent fabric is actually an Organic Cotton knit fabric that I love too much to hide any longer. So tshirt knits arent typically used for bags; what's going on here? Great question! 😀 I turned my brain around backwards for a few moments & figured out exactly what I needed in order to make my daydreams a reality: I reinforced the accent fabric with a woven, iron-fusable backing (using my heat press), then basted that onto a layer of heavy cotton canvas and that's what I call a structural upgrade. 😎 Used my Juki HZL-DX7 & Juki TL15 for these. Fabric is called Scavenger Hunt ! 🌱
