Rounding out this year’s judging panel, we are pleased to welcome Karla Moffitt to center ring.

Karla’s lifelong dedication to the horse industry began at just 16 years old when she purchased her first Half-Arabian gelding, sparking a passion that has guided her career for more than five decades. Over the course of 55+ years in the Arabian horse world, she has also gained valuable experience with Morgans and Saddlebreds, while breeding and showing both Arabians and Quarter Horses.

In 1990, Karla established Pacific Training Center, where she built a highly respected program focused on developing both horses and riders across a variety of disciplines. Her training philosophy emphasizes thoughtful horsemanship and allowing horses to perform naturally, with simplicity and correctness in the show ring.

A respected and experienced judge, Karla has officiated for over 15 years at local, regional, and national levels, and has also served internationally in Canada, Poland, and South Africa. She holds additional judging credentials with the American Stock Horse Association.

Beyond her accomplishments in the arena, Karla is deeply committed to the equestrian community and has served in numerous leadership roles throughout her career. She is especially passionate about mentoring youth and amateur riders, helping them build confidence, refine their skills, and achieve lasting success both in and out of competition.

If you’re attending the US Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma this year, you’ll have the opportunity to see Karla Moffitt on the working western judging panel.

Let us introduce this year’s judge, Sterling Bradley!

With over 40 years devoted to the Arabian horse, Sterling brings a lifetime of passion, experience, and appreciation for the breed’s incredible versatility. As he puts it, he’s simply “a horse-crazy guy” who feels fortunate to have learned from many of the industry’s greats—and is just as excited about the future stars of the sport.

Sterling and his wife, Melissa, own and operate Center Ring Show Horses in North Texas, where they specialize in training Reining, Trail, and English, Hunter, and Western Pleasure horses. Their program is especially known for developing Amateur and Junior riders, guiding them from their first ride all the way to Regional and National success. Built on a shared lifelong passion, Sterling and Melissa have created a program centered on horsemanship, dedication, and the success of both horse and rider.

We’re excited to welcome Sterling to the center ring at the Oregon Horse Center in Eugene—and we’ll also see him later this season as a judge at the U.S. National Championship Show in Tulsa.
