So thankful Beulah went to a lovely family today.🥰 They are repeat customers having purchased a pup formerly known as Alfalfa and now named Dash. It was so nice to see Dash today-what a beautiful nice boy! (pictured below) Thank you to the family of Angie Martin Richardson. We know Beulah will have a wonderful life!🩷

UPDATE🚩: Beulah is on hold and August is pending deposit!
Hello everyone! We are slightly returning from a long pause. My daughter wanted to have one last litter from her beloved Glory. Glory was bred to our amazing Henry and y'all they had the most beautiful sweetest pups! 😍 Born on August 1st, Glory had 3 girls and one boy. These pups are a combination of all the lines we brought into the breeding program. We truly saved the best for last! One of the females will be staying with my daughter Faith and the male will be going to his new home Saturday. This leaves us with 2 females available and ready for their fur ever home. They will be 10 weeks old tomorrow!!
Meet Beulah and August!! 🩷🩷
They are both extremely sweet and loving. Beulah is more laidback than August. They love to cuddle and have been doing well with potty training.
If you are interested in one of them please send us a message for more information. Thks!

Where had Dachshunds been all my life?? Why hadn’t anyone told me how AMAZING this breed is??!!! ..... Those questions still echo in my mind, as I am saddened at the thought that I went forty years of my life without a dachshund. Oops, did I just tell on my age?
It all began with a desire to have a loving companion dog-one that I would bond strongly with. My daughter had a Jack Russell, but it was hers. I wanted a dog all to myself, that would hang out with me and be MY buddy. :) I had owned dogs previously in life-Yorkies and Jack Russells. I even bred Jack Russells in my younger years. While I still enjoy both of those breeds, I was looking for something more, something different...and so the research began. My heart became settled on a miniature dachshund. For months, I looked and prayed for one, almost giving up. Finally, after what seemed like a fur-ever wait, I found my sweet dachshund, Buttons, from a lovely breeder in Indiana. After bringing her home, it didn't take long for “dachshund fever” to set in on my family. Ha! My daughter was wanting one, my parents were wanting one....and I had become convinced that every home in America needs a dachshund or two. Ok, realistically I know that’s not possible, but that was the impact my dachshund had on me. :). And so the journey of Kentucky Miniature Dachshunds began-to be a joint venture between my “vet want to be” daughter and I. I have spent much time educating myself about this breed..(and still learning) I am thoroughly enjoying it.
My parents and I co-own the sire Blue. Well, it’s more like Blue owns my parents. lol He has them wrapped around his paw. He came to us from Alabama. My daughter saved up and bought her first dachshund, Raven.
We are excited to build our line and can't wait to meet the future dachshunds that will eventually become apart of our family at Kentucky Miniature Dachshunds. Much consideration, thought, and study is being applied to our next purchases. We want to contribute to this wonderful breed by doing the best we can to preserve their amazing qualities that makes Miniature Dachshunds so special. It is our desire that the offspring here may be a blessing to many families for years to come. I can’t tell you how many litters we will be having every year. I can tell you that we value quality over quantity.
On a last note, God gave me a special dachshund in Buttons. I have learned that Buttons is very in tune with my emotions. We all have our moments of sadness, right? Once she could tell I was crying in the bathroom. Now this wasn’t no loud boo-hooing! To my surprise, she began whining in the living room and then started making her way to me. I picked her up and she directly went to licking my tears, trying to console me- and that she did! My heart smiled and I thanked God for the gift he gave us in dogs-especially for the dachshunds.
