What the heckkk? Adoptions are so slow right now. Painfully slow. When we can’t find homes for dogs we can’t save more, it’s that simple. Gene is one of them, and he’s the sweetest little young senior yorkie. Please help us by sharing these very deserving dogs when you see our posts. We want to save more dogs.

Meet Tashi! She looks a little different than when we got her (matted and neglected) and she’s thriving in her foster home as she finishes up heartworm treatment. This girl is so sweet, small and is around 7 so she’s past the crazy stage in her life, though she does still love to play. She’s good with other dogs and loves people. She does well in an office setting and is overall a very good girl. If you’re interested in learning more about her please shoot us a message! She will be ready to go to her new home very soon.

Gene was shocked to hear that nobody has applied to adopt him. He’s such a good boy, a young senior, super sweet and goofy and snuggly and tiny and he has hair and he’s fine with other dogs and where are all the people who are always asking for these types of dogs?? Please help us get the word out about Gene. He’s in Atlanta and can travel up the east coast to the right home.

Holliday is ready to find his forever home. He’s been on a real weight loss journey and he’s looking great and feeling great too. He’s a typical active husky, well behaved around the house, and he loves people and other dogs. No cats for this boy. He’s such a good dog and it’s time for him to go home! He’s in New England.

Tater and Louise are the best mom and son pair who we would love to see placed together. We realize that always makes things more difficult and though they’re not technically bonded, they would do super well together and they survived so much on the street together too. Tater is about six months and Louise his mom is around 2. She’s 14 lbs and we expect he will be under 20 lbs full grown. They’re soooo sweet and funny and have the best personalities and we know they will make someone super happy. Please consider taking this sweet pair who have been through so much together! Tater is a typical happy puppy and Louise can sometimes need a quick minute to warm up to new people and dogs but she currently lives with dogs of all sizes and does great. These two are the best! Gene!!!! This sweet guy was rescued from a hoarding situation (along with our buddy Jimmy, since adopted). Gene is an absolute ham and just the funniest little dog and he’s ready to find a home! He is friendly with people and dogs and as a young senior would be ok as either an only dog or with a dog with similar energy level as him (mostly mellow with bursts of energy sometimes). People are his favorite though and he absolutely loves to snuggle and play. Gene is not destructive and is *mostly* solid on potty training, and we expect that to resolve completely a little bit further post-neuter. Someone is seriously missing out on this tiny bundle of joy! Message us for more info on Gene. He’s located in Atlanta but transport is available to many areas on the east coast.

We keep getting messages asking how Ace hasn’t been adopted yet. He’s teeny and adorable. The truth is, Ace has a bite on his record from early on in his foster home. He got overexcited when someone came in the house and nipped her. Since then, Ace has been basically perfect. He’s met strangers, he’s great with other dogs, he’s good around the house. As an ethical rescue we have to disclose the bite to anyone who inquires about him, and we will not adopt him to a home with kids younger than teenagers. He’s a very good boy who made a mistake shortly after leaving the shelter. We know how to manage him now and his foster has done an amazing job helping him grow. We know the right home is out there for him and we will always prioritize safety and finding the right fit for our dogs over placing them quickly. Everyone makes mistakes! We hope the right person will come along and see the joyful little creature Ace is. He would love a home with another playful dog because he’s very active and loves to play. We always love alumni updates and we cannot imagine getting a better message on the Fourth of July 🇺🇸. Thanks to these super sweet kids for thinking of us and we are so happy for this lucky dog!……Guys - I thought I’d give you a quick Jetwag alumni update on Toyota (we named him Odie). He’s been legit the best dog we ever could have imagined and more and has been living a life full of walks, hikes, swims, chasing squirrels, runs on the beach and lots of love and pets. Most importantly he’s a saint with our kids who adore him. We couldn’t imagine life without him. Anyway, the kids did a lemonade stand at the beach today and they want to donate all of their proceeds to Jetwag so please let me know where I can send the money. It’s still going on but I think they’ve cleared over $150 for the cause!

Senior Shiloh needs a foster or adopter in New England. She is not getting along with one dog in the home but has been fine with all others. She prefers mellow dogs in her older age but she’s still a great adventure buddy and sweet as can be. Please, we really need help finding her a new home or even a foster!

Little Louise is looking for love. She’s had a lot of disappointment in her short life and she’s definitely a little quirky but will be such a cool dog for the right person. Ideally just one or two of you. She looks grumpy 100 percent of the time but she’s honestly pretty happy if she has a lap to sit on or a cover to burrow under. She tolerates dogs, isn’t the biggest fan of big dogs or dogs that invade her personal space and makes her displeasure known with grumpy noises but she’s also fostered with quite a few of them without issue. She would probably prefer to have a lap to herself but she does like to play with dogs her size so a similar sized playmate might work (she’s 14 lbs, and 3), she would just need some time to get used to the idea. She loves going on walks and she loves her people above all. If you have a quiet household and think you might be a good fit for Louise, reach out! She is truly a sweet little dog wrapped in a slightly sour looking package 😆. She’s currently in North GA.
