It’s been a while since I’ve posted because life has been crazy!

I have SOOOOO many grow outs, so I am doing a grow out special now through Thursday. Must pick up at the farm this week. No holds.

I’ve got

- chocolate mottled and splits
- black mottled and splits
- blue and splash
- white

Plus a few others mixed in.

And I’ve got several young roos looking for new homes too.

Everyone needs some of the new water… because apparently the old water simply wasn’t good enough and how dare you take the waterer for 10 mins to clean it 🤣

Y’all 😍 I cannot put into words how much I love find sweet silkie baby 🤗🤗🤗 Cotie at Lunar Body Art literally made my dreams come true. Now I have to name her. Help me out. What should I name her?

Update - sold

I’ve finally moved my babies to the silkie barn, so it’s time to let my old set up go.

This is a 9x18 run with a greenhouse cover with windows. I had it separated into 6 small pens for temporary use but long term I think the birdies would be happier with 4 pens.

Message me for more details if you are interested.

Must disassemble or have a long trailer to haul it.

Oh my goodness 😍😍😍😍 welcome to the world sweet chocolate mottles!

I keep telling them they’ll get out as soon as their hatch mates finish… but they have insisted on speaking to my manager 🤣🐣

Yall know I could waste those chocolate eggs right?!?!

We’ve been working hard to insulate our new Silkie barn, and this week’s heat has reminded us exactly why that project matters. It has required lots of late nights, but every improvement makes life a little more comfortable for these sweet babies.

Heat - 1, Lyndsay -0 😭💔

Not this sweet girl, but I did lose one today. This Arkansas heat is brutal. We have been doing ALL the things to keep them cool. Sometimes it’s just not enough.

We have been working furiously on the silkie barn to get them moved into a temp controlled environment, but it’s been one set back after another.

Stay safe and cool friends…. Fall will be here eventually.
