I’m a balanced trainer and I fully believe in using tools (e-collars, prongs, slip leads, etc). I gained my training education from the working dog world, police dog trainers, and decoys. The cheesy dog mom in me can get a lot of hate from other trainers but that will never stop me from being the feminine nurturer that I am. I will do what needs to be done in the name of the dog in front of me.

The positive only and force free crew will spew so much hate but that will never stop me from advocating for what’s best for dogs. I am proud to rehabilitate dogs and coach their families towards a better way of life using # methods. Point blank period.

I do what makes me happy and follow my passion for dogs. I am fulfilled by bridging the communication between dogs and their families. I also just love the #%* out of dogs.

Neutrality is always the goal. Your dog doesn’t have to like other dogs or greet them. I want a dog focused on its handler, not another dog no matter how goofy or out of control it is.

Ivar | 2 years | Malinois

Ivar had to come to me muzzled because his state of mind with strangers could only be described as chaotic. Humans truly terrified Ivar to the point his fight or flight would immediately tell him to fight without hesitation. He is not the kind of dog to be trusted or managed lightly. His fear and reactivity make him a liability in public or too near strangers.

Boosting Ivar’s confidence has not been an easy task and has not come without challenges but he’s done so well and has overcome so many of his silly fears and insecurities. I am confident he will thrive when he goes home when consistency, structure, and strong leadership are instilled. Leadership is the huge trait here to ensure Ivar thrives. He cannot think for himself and he needs a leader to rely on who keep him safe, provides clarity in what they ask, and thoroughly protects his boundaries around new people and any perceived threats.

Malinois are genetically bred to bite. Unfortunately if they are fearful, that trait will come out in insecure reactivity and that can mean they are liabilities. This breed needs an active handler who is committed to their development and provides consistent stimulation. Left unchallenged or understimulated, a Malinois can become neurotic.

I admire Ivar’s family’s commitment to giving him a better and more regulated life. Although he has lived in fear, now he has the foundation to thrive in confidence.

My inspiration, my best friend, my teacher, and my business partner.

I couldn’t do what I do without her. She maintains a neutral demeanor and maintains control so I can teach other dogs despite their erratic temperaments. She offers deep pressure therapy and tactile stimulation when I panic. She teaches me and shows me how intricate dog communication can be. She makes me laugh ALL the time. Princess really just brings me and so many others so much joy.

I’m forever thankful for the gift she is in my life and everything I’ve built as a dog trainer because of her.

If you catch yourself getting emotionally frustrated, it’s time to take a breath and put the dog away. You are doing your dog a disservice if you are flustered and not in control.

About me as a trainer:

✨ I ditched my corporate life in tech to follow my passion for dogs and I’ve never been happier!
✨Training with me is centered around three basic principles; empathy, education, and evolution.
✨A lot of concepts around training are based on neuroscience - so they apply to humans too.
✨A developed dog isn’t magic, it’s centered around consistency, structure, and dedication.
✨Partnership is key! Me, you, and your dog are a team so I encourage open communication and friendship. I’ve met the most amazing people through their dogs.
✨Rotties are my favorite breed but that’s not all I train! Training concepts are the same no matter what the breed, age, or size of the dog. I also own 2 chihuahuas that I love dearly.

The only way to keep your dog safe in a car - is using an impact proof crate. I stand behind using Rufflands so my dogs can stay safe and go with me everywhere!

At first, I loved dog training because I got to avoid people lol. But now, I’m really falling in love with the teaching aspect. Connecting to humans through dogs and teaching them how to communicate with their dog the way me and P do has become incredibly rewarding.

Dogs are capable of so much more if you develop them. I promise the value it brings to your life is indescribable. The videos I post are cool, but they don’t even do justice to how it feels.

Welcome CHARLIE 🖤 7 month old pitty lab.

He came to me as a rambunctious puppy with a ferocious piranha like appetite. Our goals for Charlie is to teach him obedience and get him to a point where the little humans in his life will be able to work him safely and so he can join all the family activities without being a nuisance.

We waited for Charlie to mature before we did a board and train and it ended up being perfect timing. He started hitting his “teenage” years, AKA jumping off the walls, impulsively grabbed food from wherever he could get it, dragged his mom on the leash… intervention at this age was the best thing his mom could do for him.

He goes home one week from today and I can’t wait to show his tiny humans what a good boy he is! I’m so excited to show his family everything he’s learned.

Oh my Princess baby. My gratitude to you is unwavering.

You taught me about myself. You taught me nervous system regulation and fight/flight. Your brain is always working, always playing, so that you continue to teach me about different non verbal communication strategies. You reinforce my beliefs on fairness and loyalty.

I wouldn’t be me without every piece of the journey that put you in my life. You and everyone who has played a part in our life and our journey is so incredibly special.

Your spirit is unlike any other and I am eternally grateful for the gift of you 💕 We both still have so much to learn and I look forward to whatever it is that you teach me next.
