Owners occasionally find they are delayed coming home . Do bring treats. If your dog is used to a specific treat by all means bring it so we can maintain your dogs regular diet. However no raw hide or jerky treats will be given as dogs tend to get diarrhea from those. If medication is to be administered be sure to give WRITTEN instructions EVERYTIME you board. We handle many clients and do not
know your dogs medication instructions by heart. Please label (your dogs name) all items you are bringing. Leashes included . Be sure to give us an emergency contact name and number for EACH new board. It MUST be someone in town while you are away and both able and available to pick up your dog from us for ANY reason. If a dog becomes ill or disturbing to the family, home or other dogs it will not be able to continue its stay with us. Please let us know if your dog has recently been ill or exposed to other dogs that have been ill prior to your board. Dogs, especially male, tend to mark their territory when away from the home. Bring washable belly bands or diapers if there is a concern, however note known markers or those who continue to mark will be asked to leave. Please remember this is our home. Bring a (small) bed or blanket if your dog uses one for sleeping. It MUST be washed prior to bringing for board. If the dog has a large bed, please leave those home. Do not bring toys, bowls , we have plenty and do not want any possession agression to occur. We want to keep your pet ( and others) safe while here. Also be aware your items may be damaged or lost during the stay , dogs often use them as toys and we will not replace any items you bring. Unfortunately it is part of the boarding experience at times. Lastly we do ask all clients to NOT CALL OR TEXT us before or after business hours. (7 AM to 7PM) We do keep our phone on for our family in case of emergency however when our dogs hear the phone ring or the tone for a text they get excited because they think a new dog is coming , they will bark, wake and disturb the entire household. We have had clients call or text at all hours. Please limit to business hours ONLY. We will send you a text with boarding updates and pics at least once a day. We want you to know your pet is healthy and happy during its stay and you to feel assured your pet is comfortable here
