Ozzy has gotten a little chunky so today we started some conditioning work. If I can stay off my horses for workouts like this where we’re simply building stamina, burning some calories and adding muscle, I absolutely will! I want them to last a long time and I find it easier and better for them especially in the beginning to condition them loose in the pen or on a long line before adding my weight. This is also letting him start to get more of a feel for rhythm while he has longer amounts of time to trot and lope. There’s no substitute for good riding and miles in the saddle, this can be nearly as beneficial though. 🖤🖤 check out Moolah learning how to work in the pen today too. Who says you can’t train two babies at once? 🙈😅

These rainy days spent quietly with my horses are wonderful for reflection and introspection. There’s something magical about these calm moments 🖤🖤

Life lately with our boys! I couldn’t be any happier to have two super good minded and solid horses. Skyler is a great teacher and Ozzy is really coming into himself! I can’t wait to see him a year from now 🥹🖤🦇
