With your help we were able to intercept this young pregnant mare. She is now at Blindside Rescue OH to receive  the care she needs. Thank you Dreamscape for coordinating transportation. She will be in quarantine for the next 30 days and then will br move to her private run and foaling stall.

As we head into the colder months, our team is focused on ensuring every horse in our care is healthy and well-prepared. Many of our herd members are seniors, which means they require additional nutrition to maintain appropriate body weight before winter arrives.

To meet this need, we slightly increase feed during the fall. We also unroll round bales across the pasture….this practice ensures that every horse, regardless of their place in the herd, has equal access to hay. For some, it’s an opportunity for steady grazing, while others use it as a soft resting place for a midday break.

Maintaining a reliable hay supply throughout the winter is one of our most significant ongoing expenses. We rely on the generosity of our supporters to sustain this effort.

It’s been a while since we’ve been active here, and we want to thank you for your patience. Like so many rescues, we’ve been through a season of change….some good, some heartbreaking….but every step has reminded us why we do this work.

We are excited to share that Blindside Rescue OH is moving forward into bigger and better things. Our facility is expanding, which means we’ll soon have the space and resources to:
• Welcome more animals in need
• Provide meaningful community outreach programs
• Share more stories of hope and healing

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing you to our current Blindside Rescue residents — each with their own story of resilience, survival, and second chances and updates around the farm.

Thank you for being here with us on this journey. Your support truly makes the difference between despair and a new beginning for so many animals.
