Many of you sent this to the page, so here it is. In all of its glory!
There is no doubt Canada’s wildfire smoke won’t stand a chance against our impending “red, white, and kaboom” filling the skies all weekend. Remember to keep your celebrations fun, respectful, and safe!
• ALWAYS call 911 when there is actual emergency or injury.
• If you plan on wearing something that expresses your patriotism. Be mindful of where the stars and stripes land upon you. Sometimes horizontal anything can be a bad choice.
• Do not call 911 asking for a list of local firework shows and times, or complaining about noise. Emergencies are a priority.
• If a Band-Aid cannot fix it, call 911.
• Alcohol/Drugs do not mix with fireworks!
• Ensure your pets are not left outside and provide distractions from the noise.
• If you are assigned to bring the family macaroni or potato salad this year, don't be lazy. Homemade is way better than the store version of Homestyle. Put some effort into it.
• Follow Directions and Safety Rules. Don't add to the number of hand and eye injuries that SKYROCKET during this time of the year.
Don’t annoy the neighborhood.
Don’t drink and drive.
Keep a hose handy.
Celebrate safely.
Behave!
Officers only want to come to your celebration for free food, not complaints.
Enjoy with family and friends,
Lt. BC
