From Heartbreak to Hope: Ranger finally left Texas behind for a fresh start in Missouri. His survival is a miracle: He survived a life marked by unspeakable cruelty, being in a house as a puppy with abuse we won't speak of.

After a couple months in foster care, his great spirits started to shine through! He's now the definition of a happy puppy, always eager to play and find his next adventure.

This weekend our volunteers brought him on his “Freedom Ride" to a new rescue where he’ll also get to meet back up with his buddy Cash who arrived a couple weeks earlier. He's seen the worst of the world and now he's finally ready to check out the best of it! 🐾😊

🐾 Let’s talk about protecting our furry family members! 🐾

We all want our pets to live long, happy, and healthy lives, and one of the absolute best ways to make sure that happens is by keeping them up to date on their routine vaccinations.

From preventing highly contagious diseases like parvo and distemper to keeping the whole community safe with rabies shots, vaccines are simple, effective, and save lives. It’s always much easier (and much less stressful!) to prevent an illness than it is to treat one.

If your pup or kitty is due for a checkup, or if you can't remember the last time they had their boosters, give your vet a quick call to make sure they're fully protected. Our pets give us unconditional love—keeping them safe is the least we can do in return! ❤️🐶🐱

Goofy is a sweet and friendly Coonhound who loves making new friends. He waited a long 9 months in a Louisiana shelter until he was pulled by a rescue partner and learned to love naps and treats in his foster’s home.

He’s a total gentleman on a leash. And true to his breed, he has a powerful nose and is always on the lookout for interesting scents. This weekend our volunteers brought him from Ruston, Louisiana to his new home in Newport, Kentucky. 🐾 😊

Osito, Simba and Pandita started as solo strays on the streets, but they’ve officially formed the ultimate foster squad! They aren’t siblings by birth, they’ve definitely become "brothers and sisters from another mister".

Our volunteers helped them trade the New Mexico desert for the North Carolina greenery to find their new forever homes. 😊🐾

Astrid is a stray pup that was found with a collar embedded in her neck by a good samaritan who worked with Paws NELA to get her the help she needed and reach out to a rescue partner who agreed to take her for a better chance of adoption. Molly was also found as a stray and spent a couple of weeks in foster care. This weekend our volunteers brought them to Pennsylvania to find new forever homes.
