LionHeart Riding Academy Building courage, strength, and confidence in our riders through strong relationships with people and horses.

At LionHeart Riding Academy, we teach riders ages 4 years and up to ride on American Saddlebred horses. We ride Saddle Seat, which is a form of English riding. We encourage riders of all ability levels, no matter what their goals may be. Many of our riders participate in horse shows at a local, regional, and even national level, but this is by no means required.

And equally excited to welcome SBR Phantom!

More great news to share!!! 🎉 Guess who got a home?? 🎉 SBR Phantom! AND the best part is that he is going to be living with SBR Tanner (who we announced last week!). That's right, the person who adopted Tanner is also going to be taking Phantom to Missouri! He will become a lesson horse and possibly attend some academy shows! We are so excited for Phantom to begin living his best life! 🥰 And as always, we will cheer for him every time he trots through the in gate! 👏👏

🎉Guess who got a home?!?! 🎉 SBR TANNER! Tanner is a fan favorite with many of our followers and you will be thrilled to know that he will soon be heading off to Missouri where he will be a show horse! 🤩 Tanner's journey at SBR has been a long one but we couldn't be more proud of how amazing this horse has progressed over this time! We will miss him here at the farm but can't wait to cheer him on every time he trots through the in-gate! 👏👏👏

🔔If you’ve never done a summer camp at LionHeart, you’re missing out! We’ve got a few opportunities for every rider to consider this summer:

💛May 26-June 1: Show Prep Camp $600 - ($850 if showing)
Open to intermediate and advanced riders (must be able to walk, trot, halt, guide effectively in a group, and post). Participation in the horse show is not required to attend camp; however, all campers will travel to the show to observe, assist, and learn.
💛Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (early release may occur depending on group stamina). Riders will spend the week preparing horses for the show ring and riding twice daily. Campers must bring their own lunch.
💛On Friday, we’ll haul horses to Fulton. Campers will help set up at the show grounds and each rider will have a chance to ride in the show ring that afternoon or evening. The actual show takes place Saturday and Sunday, with riders having the opportunity to compete in two classes per day.All show-related costs are included in the camp fee.
💛Please note: this is a high-energy week with long days and late nights during the show weekend. Campers should arrive well-rested and fuel their bodies with meals that provide lasting energy.

🩵June 9-14: Advanced Show Rider Camp - $600This camp is designed for our most advanced show riders—those who have previously attended Academy Nationals or are hopefuls for this year’s event. Completion of a prior Show Prep Camp is required.
🩵Camp will be held at home Monday through Friday, followed by a group day trip to the Midwest Charity Horse Show in Springfield, IL on Saturday. We’ll depart early in the morning and return late in the evening.

❤️July 7-11: Cub Camp - $400 half day, $500 full dayThis camp is perfect for younger or less experienced riders—and a great one to invite a friend along!Riders will enjoy one lesson per day during the half-day option, or two lessons per day with the full-day option. Camp includes fun, hands-on learning about horse parts, tack, colors, markings, and more. Sometimes we’ll do a craft project—though past campers have often voted to spend extra time with the horses instead!
❤️This is a lower-intensity camp compared to Show Prep Camp and offers a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
❤️Half-day: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (bring a snack)Full-day: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (bring snacks and lunch)

We also have a Drill Team, which performs choreographed routines set to music- this gives those who aren’t interested in showing another option to work towards. We do many camps, as well as private and group riding lessons. We look forward to hearing from you!
