Just completed a week of class, taught by Diana Friend (a well known and outstanding wood turner). The focus of the class was to learn how to repair/stabilize cracks using straight ties and how to deal with bark. It was SO informative!!
This is what I accomplished: top left- sourwood, top right- cherry, bottom left- spalted (and borderline rotten) maple, bottom right- western yew

Bond them out + pay for shipping and they will be on their way to you. Let me know if you want to rescue any of these guys.
Gnomes were turned on lathe using recently cut wood. As the wood dries, Mother Nature may decide to add cracks as she feels necessary.
I will post new arrivals as they become available.
