Nipa the Patchwork Kitty

She ain't gotta pay my ER bill, so she don't care 😛

(Four months since she mauled my arm. Healed up fine, lots of scars, and yes, a bill)

Five years to the day after Cole. I'm so sorry. Fly high.

MARMALADE 🌈🐾

7/1/2013 - 10/10/2026

At 7:12pm Cole came and guided Marm over the rainbow bridge with him. Thankfully, he was at home being cuddled with us both as he transitioned.

We are in shock still and will update more later…

Hug your furkids extra from us today 🖤🧡

Rest easy George. Still gonna peep at your bag though.

There is no easy way to say this. My George passed away this morning after a brief battle with cancer. Thank you for loving him along with me. I am so grateful I got to share his light with the world. It was simply too bright to keep to myself. His passing was peaceful, in my arms, kisses on his head, no struggle, just sleep. We all love you, George. Maman most of all. Find me in my dreams, darling. Find me in every sparkle of sunshine. Though the grief is and will be terrible, it merely reflects the enormity of the love.

George the Smiler, my darling baby. ~2012 - 10/7/2026.

Explain, ma'am

The art and the artist, three weeks and one day later. They're more or less healed, except for some persistent seromas that should slowly go away on their own.

Neighbor kitty, to my knowledge, hasn't shown up again since I blocked the window.

I did get a quarantine notice for Nipa on the 29th...which was due to expire on the 30th, so yeah, the county is definitely on the ball, lol.

The art and the artist.

Happened again on Saturday morning 😅 Went to urgent care as soon as they opened and got put on antibiotics. They still got infected. So I spent yesterday afternoon and evening in the ER, making sure I didn't have any abscesses lurking about. Doctor was tempted to admit me but all my labs and imaging were fine, despite my arm looking not so fine. He told me to finish the antibiotics and come back if things head south. I did receive IV antibiotics as well.

(The pen mark is from Sunday evening, me keeping track of the redness)

I blocked off the patio window so Nipa can't see her bf. I am so not getting mauled a third time.

And you bet the nurses appreciated the irony of cat wounds on a cat tattoo!

Playing in the tub for the second time ever. You'd never know she totally spazzed out on me last night after her bf showed up again and she wasn't thrilled.

Mommy did it again! She took me to the V-E-T, and she said this time they had to steal my bodily fluids for examination! The audacity!!!

Note from Mommy: she's an Old Lady™️ now, so no escaping bloodwork and urinalysis this time. She's also lost half a pound since last year, so we definitely want to make sure we're not missing anything. Should be getting those results early next week.

Somebody has a secret admirer!

He's come around several times now. We don't know if he belongs to a neighbor or is a stray, but Nipa definitely does not appreciate his attention 😅 I had to replace the blinds on the patio door last week after she went nuts when he showed up! (She behaved this time aside from getting really noisy)
