Our water tester, Merlin still takes his job very seriously on tank day 😂
- Sad, but I had to put a large logo on the photo so the 🍆 head scammers that keep stealing pics of my fur children will be less likely to do so.

Lastly, I thank Hazel Run Labradors for this boy every day. He is an amazing companion and ESA and is destined to do great things. If you love labs check them out I highly recommend them ❤️

I am about to have some happy lotls!
Another nice batch of baby Canadian night crawlers just arrived from Bestbait.com

I switched from European nightcrawlers because my worm farm kept getting mites and fruit flies in it.
The Canadians are great because it eliminates this as they are kept in the refrigerator.
I always order the worm food along with my worms.
No more compost- that’s saved for my outdoor bin used for the garden!

I highly recommend these worms!

RMA is a small business run by myself, my name is Heather and I am a Colorado Native, hence my selection of Business name! I started off in the aquarist hobby in 2015 and began my axolotl journey in 2018. I have been breeding axolotls since 2021. The business has scaled down from a small business to a hobby for me. I selectively breed axolotls, alpine newts and Chinese Firebelly newts. Raising healthy axolotls with fluffy gills is my speciality while also doing my best to w**d out undesired genetic traits to preserve the species.

I am located in southern Colorado Springs, CO. I do not have a storefront. I ship to all legal states and offer local pickup on my days off from my full time job. I no longer have a website, all sales will be through direct contact to ensure the sale is a good fit for both the customer as well as the animal. I will be also posting animals to my Morph Market, link in the about us section. Prices on animals vary depending on morph and variations.

Axolotls are sensitive creatures and have specific care requirements, thorough research and preparation is a MUST before purchasing one to ensure it thrives in its new home. As of Summer 2025 we do not have any axolotls available for sale. I am hoping to have a clutch when the weather cools down and temps are ideal for breeding. I will not be taking names for a wait list for axolotls until we have a clutch that has been produced. I do have a batch of Chinese Firebellies that are morphing and will be ready for homes once they are eating reliably, I am currently accepting names for a wait list for these. They SHOULD be ready in August/September at the latest.

Stevie, Avada & Nesta — three of my pretty girls lined up, waiting patiently for me to drop in some treats. I love these ladies so much. I have to admit, they’re my favorites. 🥰

It’s been nice taking a break from breeding and daily tub work. I’ve been able to spend more time simply enjoying my pets — and even getting out of the house a bit more!

"Sookie" my mama Chinese Firebelly Newt (cynops orentalis), wants to show off some of her babies!

These littles are obviously sill in their larval stage and not ready for homes yet.
But once they morph out they will be seeking new homes! (Probably in about 2-3 months-ish.)
If you are interested in getting notified when they are close to being ready, shoot me a message letting me know how many you may be interested in, the state you are located in and a email address for me to send the notification to!
