🐾 Why Proper Vaccinations Matter in Boarding Facilities 🐾
One of the most important parts of keeping dogs safe in a boarding environment is making sure vaccinations are current and up to date.
While no vaccine is 100% perfect, they play a HUGE role in reducing the spread and severity of contagious illnesses.
When dogs from different homes come together, they also bring different exposures, immune systems, and environments with them. Vaccinations help protect not only your own dog, but every dog around them as well. ❤️
Common vaccines often required for boarding include:
✔️ Rabies
✔️ Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)
✔️ Bordetella (kennel cough)
✔️ Deworming!
It’s also important to remember:
🐶 Puppies are more vulnerable because their immune systems are still developing
🐶 Senior dogs or immune-compromised dogs may have a harder time fighting illness
🐶 Stress and excitement can temporarily lower immunity, making prevention even more important
To board here I require up to date vaccinations and deworming and I also require a copy of those for your file.
At the end of the day, these policies are never meant to be inconvenient — they exist because we truly care about the health and safety of every dog entrusted to us. 🐾❤️
