We have been working with the Toyger cat for the past six years and fall more in love with this breed every day. While they are a newer breed and are still evolving, their temperament has helped them become one of the best feline family members. With a butter soft short orange coat and striking black glittery stripes, they look more like a living work of art than their domestic origins would have

you believe possible. An entertaining combination of loving lap cat and playful clown, their mischievous antic are quickly forgiven as they snuggle up and convince you of their innocence. Don't be fooled, the toyger is quickly taking over households all over the world and holding their families hostage while purring innocently from their laps.

So finally some decisions have been made. Nikita has voiced her opinion that she would like to relocate with one of her two sons. This means her new caretaker will be entrusted with both a darling ball of energy and a calm companion together. I would love to chat to someone who currently has no other kitties and would be the perfect match for this situation. Both Nikita and baby will be altered and thoroughly vetted before.

Self portrait? I've never stared at a sleeping cat quite this much before.
Reminder. Not having a breeding date is torture. This is Nikita's last litter and our first babies in over a year. We've been anxiously awaiting signs she is ready for days now! Geeky husband has been a godsend. Figured out how to put the camera feed directly on the TV as a small window while we watch other things. The last two days she has not been interested in leaving the tent we have set up. She's in our office where it's quiet and private. We offered the bathroom but she just returns to the tent next to my husband's desk.
We would like her to go with one of her babies after they are both spayed or neutered.

Still not here. Nikita (Keeta) is super proud of herself and her giant baby belly. She's acting comfortable and relaxed. I have to leave the house for about two hours, who wants to bet she's waiting for us to be away?!

Getting close!
It's been so long since we have had babies I can't find our Wyze cameras! Old school baby camera it is. She's huge. She's happy. Purring constantly while can be a sign she's getting close, but I'm expecting it to be at least a few more days. Sleepless nights have already commenced. This will be Marx's first litter, which makes this even more exciting.

Considering a toyger? Here's some information to help you find your new family member and avoid scammers.

All kittens are microchipped and must be registered within 24 hours of going home. All kittens are altered before they leave so are ready around 12-14 weeks depending on timing.
I generally only place kittens with those who are in driving distance so they can be picked up in person.
I'm on the breed committee and will happily recommend a breeder who's nearer to you if we are too far or we unable to match your needs. We recommend researching your breeder carefully and making sure they are listed on TICAs website as unfortunately with a rare breed like this sometimes it seems like scammers are more common than actual breeders.

If you are interested in our wait list we would first need to have a short conversation on the phone to make sure a toyger is a good fit for your household, they are a demanding breed when it comes to attention and time and are happiest with a companion. Please don't hesitate to contact us to learn more or get a referral. Toyger breeders are a small community and we often work together. We are fortunate to still have the guidance of the breeds founder and are still working hard to help this breed reach it's full potential. Toygers are an inherently healthy breed, the foundation cats were carefully selected and tested, temperament remains a primary breed focus. All breeding cats should be genically tested.
