Unfortunately the day was too busy for an "after" picture. Bella is another example of an old girl growing back a healthy coat after a summer shave.

In a perfect world we wouldn't shave double coated dogs but this cute pup is 14 yrs old and is proof that hair grows back. There are exceptions when they are taken too short and the hair follicles are damaged or if there are health issues.
Diet is crucial to health.
We have found food allergies to chicken and grains are the number one offenders to skin and coat, itchiness and bad ears

Please please please clean your pups eyes just like we wash our own face.
This pup is an extreme example but too often we see crusty eyes create raw sores on our "not so regular " customers.

Even though Veterinarians want to see the hair removed, sadly most groomers don't do it. I don't want groomers to do what they are not qualified for but this groomer is "old school " .
I have come across a couple of exceptions but I clean out these poor dogs ears for happier, healthier pups ❤️🐕🐶
