Funny story around town… if your last name is Deal, chances are you’re going to get asked one question:

“Are you related to Tedwin Deal?” 😂

At this point, Tedwin is probably more famous than the rest of us combined. Between the hospitals, nursing homes, community events, military visits, and everywhere else he spreads smiles, he’s become quite the local celebrity.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who purchased a Fur Real K-9 Pet Therapy shirt. Because of your support, Tedwin’s upcoming dental procedure is now completely paid for!

What may seem like a simple shirt purchase has made a real difference. Not only did it help cover Tedwin’s dental expenses, but it also helps with the ongoing costs of traveling to therapy visits, grooming, supplies, and everything that goes into bringing comfort and smiles to those we serve.

⚾️ Tedwin and I are excited to be attending the Hawkeye vs. Cyclone Softball Game benefiting Make-A-Wish: Humboldt County on June 21! 💙💛❤️

What an incredible event that has helped raise thousands of dollars to grant wishes for local children facing critical illnesses. The community is closing in on an amazing milestone of $300,000 raised, and we're honored to be a small part of it.

If you see us there, be sure to stop by and say hello to Tedwin. He'll be ready for plenty of pets, belly rubs, and photos! 🐾

Good morning, everyone.

I wanted to touch base with everyone regarding Tedwin. Before we can continue therapy visits through my therapy organization, Tedwin’s wagon must be approved and certified according to their requirements.

For facilities that do not require this certification and only require a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, we will be able to continue visiting as usual.

I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this process. It seems like every time we turn around, there’s another hurdle to overcome, but Tedwin and I remain committed to bringing comfort and smiles to those we serve.

Some of his biggest fans aren't found in a hospital room, but in a salon chair. No matter where he goes, Tedwin brings smiles, comfort, and a little extra happiness to everyone's day.

Tedwin now has merchandise for sale, and every purchase helps cover the costs that come with therapy dog work — gas, grooming, supplies, and all the little miscellaneous things it takes to keep us on the road doing what we love most. Every corner we turn at Van Diest Medical Center is a reminder of how much Tedwin is loved. From seeing his pictures throughout the halls to feeling the kindness from the doctors, patients, and staff, it’s clear he has left paw prints on so many hearts.
