👑 Today, Tedwin was royalty at Van Diest Medical Center! 👑

He spent the afternoon making his rounds, visiting patients and hospital staff, spreading smiles and soaking up plenty of belly rubs along the way.

Meanwhile, I spent my afternoon fixing his crown, straightening his cape, and making sure His Royal Highness looked the part. 😂 Apparently, royalty has people for that!

Tedwin definitely has this therapy-dog thing figured out: I do all the work, and he gets all the attention and belly rubs. ❤️🐾👑

Another wonderful day of pet therapy and bringing a little happiness wherever we go. ❤️

🐾 Happy National Dog Day to our favorite four-legged caregiver — Tedwin! 🐾

At Van Diest Medical Center, we know that healing can come in many forms — and sometimes it arrives on four paws with a wagging tail and a friendly face.

Tedwin, our certified therapy dog, and his handler, Toni Deal, bring smiles, comfort and companionship to patients, visitors and staff throughout VDMC. Whether he’s offering a gentle hello, a little encouragement or simply a welcome distraction during a difficult day, Tedwin has a special way of making things feel just a little bit better.

Of course, none of those visits would be possible without Toni, whose time, dedication and generous heart make Tedwin’s therapy work possible.

On National Dog Day, we’re celebrating this very special team and the joy they bring to our hospital.

Thank you, Toni and Tedwin, for reminding us that sometimes the best medicine comes with four paws, a wet nose and a whole lot of love. ❤️🐶

🐾 DOG DAZE OF SUMMER — AUGUST 23RD! 🐾

Hey everyone! Just a little reminder to come out to Dog Days of Summer on August 23rd from Noon–4 PM! ☀️🐶

Please come out, have some fun, and most importantly, support our local shelters and the dogs in need. ❤️🐾 There will be lots of booths set up, plenty of fun going on, and a great reason to spend the afternoon with fellow dog lovers!

🐾 Tedwin and I will have our own booth set up, and we would absolutely LOVE for you to stop by, say hello, visit with Tedwin, and show us some support! 🐶💙

Come enjoy the afternoon, support a wonderful cause, and help us make a difference for dogs who need it most.

Good morning, everyone! ☀️🐾

I wanted to pop in and say that I hope everyone’s summer is going well! I also hope everyone understands the little break Tedwin and I have been taking. Summer is a very busy time for me with gardening, canning, and all the things that come along with this time of year. And with this heat, I just hate taking Tedwin out when he doesn’t need to be.

Tedwin is doing wonderful, enjoying his little summer vacation and probably wondering why his social calendar has suddenly gotten so quiet. 😂🐶❤️

But don’t worry… Tedwin and I will be getting back out there soon!

And speaking of soon… we have a VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE that we’ll be announcing here before long! 🤫🐾❤️

I’m not giving away any hints just yet, but we are pretty excited about it! Stay tuned… 👀❤️🐾

I’m helping a friend find a loving new home for her 2½-year-old Goldendoodle. 🐾

This decision has not been easy for her. She lives alone, and because he’s a young, energetic dog, he has accidentally knocked her down a few times. For her safety, she has made the difficult decision to find him a home where he can continue to thrive.

He is:
🐶 2½ years old
✔️ Neutered
💉 Up to date on all vaccinations
❤️ A sweet dog who just needs a little extra training

He does have a habit of jumping up on people, but with consistency and a little training, I truly believe he’ll overcome that and make an amazing companion.
