Mother of Reptiles MOR

For those who have not heard, the main reptile room was one of the casualties of the recent storm and resulting flooding from a failed neighboring property's drain. All animals are being vacated to remove the saturated materials.

All animals are safe! Moving fast to beat the mold is critical right now though and construction materials are expensive. So far, we have the Lesser Antillean Iguana enclosure complete and are getting the lewisi hybrid enclosure going.

There are still 3 more enclosures to complete.

We have been asked how people can help and w won't have much time to reply to people individually too much.

Did You Know?

Have you ever wondered why we have a feather logo?

As we follow our indigenous teachings, we believe that nature, what happens in our day, and what happens in our dreams are all guidance and lessons. Everything has a purpose and meaning - bad and good.

This feather of gichibine (a turkey) was visualized within a dream by the owner of M.O.R., decorated with silhouettes of reptiles within the contrast. Listened to this dream, we brought the visualization to reality. Here we honor the nutritional benefit the turkey provides and show appreciation for the unique artwork of their feathers.
