I met Rufus and Meg (Roo’s human) when Rufus was 6 months old and I was just starting out on my pet care journey! Rufus and I (and Meg) instantly formed a bond that is so hard to break. I always say the hardest part of my job is when the pets (aka my besties) cross the rainbow bridge but another hard part of my job is when the animals we care for move away! And that’s the case with Rufus, I saw him several times a week for years and then it was time for his human ( Meg) to make a change and they moved to Vermont. It was sad for me but for Meg and Rufus it was a new adventure! Fast forward a little when Meg reached out and asked if I could stay with her parents dog Gus and Rufus while the took a family trip, obviously I didn’t hesitate to spend some time with my old Pal Rufus!!! It’s honestly the greatest compliment when Meg decided that she could not leave Rufus with anyone else and had to drive home so that Rufus, Gus and I could be besties while they travelled! It’s the little things in life that make the hard things so much easier! 🫶🏻🥰
