Today is a hard day, I’ve been chosen three times to be a God “Pup” Mother by my clients. 2 out of 3 clients passed and left me their dog. It never gets easier…
Today my 16 year old client Lola is scheduled to rest. She’s had a rough year… her Mom passed in March and her Dad has dementia and took a nasty tumble which led him in the hospital for a month. I’ve been taking care of Lola and her sister Lucy for the past month. Myself (along with her parents close family friend) made the tough decision to let her rest. She’s struggling to walk, stand while going to the bathroom and she looks so exhausted.
I will be the one holding Lola for the last time, while the shot is administered in the comfort of her own home. Please send good thoughts my way as today is going to be extremely difficult.
You had a good 16 year run sweet girl, it’s time for you to be with your Mommy and watch over your Dad and sister. I’m going to miss you 💙
