To get down to key metrics of production, here is a partial shot of how some of your favorite ranked when compared to each other on total production over 70" tip-to-tip offspring.
These numbers are ranked and based on offspring and the total number of offspring (TLBAA registered).
To specifically answer questions that have come in. If your bull has 70" offspring, your goal should be 13% of your total offspring volume; 8% of , 3% of , and 1% of .
For my members, you will soon be able to see this whole breakdown including the statistics divided by bull and cow production.
Over 500 new animals have been added to the since January. If you are a TLBAA user, remember to "log" all of your calves. Meaning if you have calves born that you do not want to register, you can "log" but not register via the HORNS system. This will allow your cows and bulls to show more accurate production. Likewise, if you have bull calves that are not going to be registered, "log" them as steers. This will allow them to count toward your total production without affecting your bull production.
If you are working to improve your program, you can get a strategic edge that will save you a lot of time and money by using real numbers based on statistics that are simple and easy to understand.
