When you jump in the pool when you weren’t supposed to, you have to sit next to mom to dry- lol Teddy listened really good. He got out and sat next to me while the kids swam like a good boy. He only looked at me a few times like, please mom please let me jump in 🤪

Remember you guys, do not give your dogs rawhide bones!

RAWHIDE IS BAD FOR YOUR DOG.
Not all dog owners are aware of the chemical preparation or danger of rawhide chew products.

Rawhide chews are made from the leather industry’s leftovers. Most hides are taken directly from the kill floors at slaughterhouses and placed into high-salt brines, which helps slow their decay. Most rawhide chews are manufactured in China, and it can take weeks to months before these brined hides actually make it to the tanneries for their final manufacture. Once the hide arrives at a tannery, it is soaked and treated with lime to help separate the fat from the skin, the hair is removed by chemical and physical efforts, and the hide is rinsed again.

⭐️This morning Goldie and I went to Tampa to the AKC dog show. It’s held at the fairgrounds this time every year. During the show they have OFA clinics. I usually just go and do the eyes and heart and somewhere else for hips/elbows. But I have heard so many good things about the vet that does the hips/elbows there so I wanted to make sure I saw them. They are Blue Ridge veterinary imaging. And let me tell you, they were sooo nice! I’m so glad we went.

⭐️Since Goldie is only 1 and OFA hips/elbows cannot be certified until she’s 2, we did what’s called preliminary OFAs. The chance of her hips/elbows changing from now until she’s 2 is very slim. I will have them certified after she turns 2 as well.
⭐️⭐️I’m happy to report that the vet thinks her hips will go excellent, so fingers crossed! Bc prelims are judged alot harder.⭐️⭐️
⭐️She also completed her heart exam, that can be certified with the OFA at 1 year. I missed the sign ups for the eyes so I’ll have to get that done somewhere else. But that’s not a big deal, we have plenty of time!

Thanks to his mom for sending me pictures of him! He’s such a handsome boy. And in a few weeks it will be him and his littermates birthday!

Poppy went to the vet this morning for her next round of vaccines. One more round and she’s fully vaccinated! And she weighs 19 pounds!
