Overdue update
I’ve been a little quiet lately. Took some time to reset and get my energy back in line after dealing with a personal loss — the mindset I teach the Summit Pups, I’ve needed to embody myself. I’m feeling grounded again and ready to get our adventures rolling. Thanks for sticking with me. Winter pack days, training, and fresh energy on the way.

Update 09/15 - 09/21

As Fall lays down on the close of Summer pack adventures a new queen has laid claim to her throne here at Summit Pups.

Her name is Domerie. A peak and a creek she’ll drink from for years. The source of Roslyn’s water she is as powerful as her features. She flows through diverse landscape, on into the Cle Elum, Yakima, Chelan rivers on out to the pacific. From the mountains to the sea she can handle it all.

“Flow like water my friend”

Like Bruce Lee who coined the phrase, she is a calm, confident, a fierce protege to the program.

Above all she is a Summit Pup and the judge to all future Summit Pups.

I hand the keys to you sweet Domerie. You Doberman queen with a salting of Shepard. I trust you.

08/08 - 08/14

Another week in the books at Summit Pups.

Highlights include some new pups joining the adventure pack and a local puppy getting broken in to the program with loads of potential.

I turned down the call to fight some wildfires to focus on this project here to build up the local pack and keep working on a strong transition to the colder months.

With that said yesterday was full of scouting missions for the winter program to create an offering for Snoqualmie Pass adventurers. We aim to take packs for epic romps while you get your turns in worry free of pup missing out on fun. We will prepare the pups for those backcountry missions through conditioning and training around skis, as well as obedience in the wilderness.

I am in the market for a puppy to mold as the prototype for my adventure dog business. Putting a feeler out for any new litters of pups looking for a home that will get the most out of them. They will be raised in a wonderful pack of dogs from different corners of the community and be given the opportunities in the sporting and SAR dog world.

Not focused on any 1 breed, I need an athlete who can handle snow and socialize well.

I want to start doing a weekly update on the goings ons at Summit Pups.

08/01 - 08/07

This past week the crew and I got lots of swims in while exploring new hidden spots working on our winter routes when the snow comes. With summer winding down we’re working on our paddle board group balancing and swimming as a pack while we can.

The hydro adventures have been a hit, something to grow more next summer in new nooks and crannies, heck maybe even this fall.

As we transition to the school year Summit Pups will be looking to expand its daily adventure packs Monday through Friday working with whatever the weather brings us to build tough Pacific Northwest dogs here in our community and for those traveling from out of town.
