Topping your dogs food does not have to cost $$$$$$$. Work with your veterinarian and a nutritionist for healthy ad ons for your dog(I am neither of these,just an enthusiastic crazy dog lady who loves to treat the babes to whole foods)Here we have an egg lightly cooked w 🥦 (plucked right from the garden). Cottage cheese and some freeze dried raw topper. Oats w turmeric. Topped with a sprinkle of flax and h**p. I'll slide it over our shelter guests kibbles for added noms post morning walkies🥰.

This company puts the thoughts inside all of us empathy and science driven trainers into the best graphics!

The best choices? They last about two seconds.
Blink and they're over.
Worse still we miss them or dismiss them as "nothing".

They were going to rush through the door.
But paused.

They were watching something across the road.
Then looked back at you.

They were pacing around the house.
Then stopped, lay down and settled.

They were excited and jumping out of their skin to greet someone.
But those four paws stayed exactly where they were, on the ground.

Nothing dramatic happened. Except it did!
It really did.

There was no asking for it.
No big training moment.
Nobody necessarily even noticed.
But your dog just made a choice.
And a brilliant one at that.

And those tiny choices they make can be incredibly telling, especially if you've been working on some behaviour that isn't wanted.
Well guess what?
They just gave you the behaviour you’ve been looking for.
And it’s so easy to miss.

That spontaneous glance back at you?
Absolutely worth noticing.
The pause before rushing forward?
Worth noticing.
Choosing to settle when they could have carried on?
Yup, just look at what they did!

Oh that's some rewardable stuff right there, in action.

When something great happens naturally and we reinforce it, we can make that behaviour more likely to happen again, and again, and again.

And eventually those little tiny, easily missed choices can become choices your dog makes more often.
Not because you told them what to do.

And THAT is the "secret sauce" in action right there.

Long weekend shelter break for a longer term pup struggling. Day one vibes were good. What a sweetie. SHELTERS WERE NOT BUILT FOR LONG TERM RESIDENCY!!!! even the "BEST" of shelters are not the same as a home! If you can't adopt, do weekend reprieves or take a dog out for a day.

Sometimes I like a little help putting my thoughts together and I do like a fun photo collage from time to time. But for the most part this page is just me and the dogs that I spend time with. Ai is not running this business. Hell, I repel technology so much there's not even a website. You text me you talk to me and maybe you get a jotform link LOL. I am training the dogs or helping the dogs decompress from the shelter Or spending time and keeping them happy while their families are out of town. That's all me. I am not going to post rage bait just to get clicks and views and followers. Those things will happen organically as people tell people they know about me. I'm not here to get rich or famous or popular. Lord knows a lot of the times my views aren't the most popular. But I will always be a voice for the voiceless. I do not eat animals. I do not exploit animals. I simply do my best to be kind and help them. If that's your vibe along with some training advice, this is the place for you. If not, that's okay too. You can keep on scrolling. Snacks helped me put together a basket for his mom's for the ride home. So many good SHMELLS as our good friend Leah at the pawsitive center for dogs would say 😘
