A message from our head-groomer
DEAR K-9 DESIGNS FAMILY,
We are officially two weeks away from October!! Having said that, it’s crazy how fast this year has flown by. Many things happened this year, and we are continuing to go through new changes even now. As many of you know I am expecting my first baby! It’s been a wild ride juggling my work life while deciding to finally start growing my family, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve been given so much support from so many, from old faces to new, and I am so thankful to have become a part of this community. I have to also give a HUGE shoutout to our Landlords Andrew and Kate who have been so accommodating to my situation and helped make this process a lot less stressful for me. Like I said at the beginning of this post we have lots of changes coming (other than the baby 😂) so Im going to list out everything you’ll need to know!
RENOVATIONS AND MY MATERNITY LEAVE:
When the building switched ownerships there have been renovations done in most of the units, however we haven’t been able to close for the period it would take to get those done. Also due to many life changes among our staff we are now a two man team, being myself and one other groomer. Since I will need time off we’ve decided it would be best to take off the entire month of October which would ensure we can get renovations done as well as taking time to be at home with my baby as I adjust to motherhood. Two birds with one stone as I always say!
RE-OPENING IN NOVEMBER:
The exact dates we will be closed are September 28th-November 2nd! We had to take a few days before and after October off to be able to move our equipment and belongings in and out of the shop as we get things renovated. Our phones will most likely be down during that time so if anyone has questions it’s best to reach out to us on our page by sending us a message. When we open again we will look a lot different as well as bigger! We are going to start renting the Unit next to us as well as the one we are currently in to give us more space for a break room as well as a nursery area for myself to be able to bring my baby and providing her a quieter hair-free environment!
SCHEDULING:
Since we are already two weeks shy of hitting October our schedule has been booked out until we close. My first openings aren’t until after the first week we open again in November, and the best I have for anyone needing an appointment before then is being put on my cancellation list. I do apologize for the inconvenience and I am so thankful for the understanding I’ve been shown during this time.

Thank you to all who have congratulated me and supported me for this new adventure I’m beginning! I am grateful to be the head-groomer here at K-9 Designs and I am going to miss seeing everyone over the break, although I’m sure it will go by in a flash. I look forward to seeing everyone again in November and helping you get your fur babies ready for the Holidays!! 🤍
