Another successful day of helping some 2 yr olds before they go into training!
As a c**t starter myself I know how much it negatively affects your horse’s temperament when they are uncomfortable! So I believe it is really important to have their teeth checked before you start them in training…Whether it be from wolf teeth, loose caps, or ulcerations in cheeks and tongue from sharp points on their teeth, when they are in pain it affects their temperament and also they potentially associate your training with their pain causing resistance or negative behavior! Not to mention when you start them in training it is even more important to have them in good health, which is really hard to maintain if they don’t have a balanced mouth!
