🚨 FOSTER NEEDED — SHE JUST NEEDS A SOFT PLACE TO LAND 🐾❤️

We are hoping to bring this sweet girl to the Sacred Pawz family, and we already know she has a longer road ahead of her.

She has two masses of unknown cause — one on her foot and one on her chest area — that will need to be surgically removed. We’re still learning about her, and we’ll know much more once she arrives and can be fully evaluated by our veterinary team.

What we know right now is that she needs a foster willing to give her a safe, soft place to land while we take care of everything else.

❤️ Sacred Pawz will provide:
• All veterinary care and surgery costs
• Food
• Medications
• A kennel, bedding and other supplies needed
• Support throughout her recovery
• Anything else we can reasonably provide to help make fostering her successful

You provide the home and the love. We’ll provide the rest.

Because of her upcoming surgeries and recovery, this will likely be a longer-term foster commitment rather than just a few days or weeks. We completely understand that can sound intimidating — but sometimes the dogs who need us the longest are the ones who need a foster the most.

She is estimated to be a young adult, approximately 2–5 years old, although we expect to have a better age estimate and know much more about her personality, temperament and needs once she arrives.

Right now, she doesn’t need someone to have all the answers.

She doesn’t need a perfect home.

She just needs someone willing to say, “You can heal here.” ❤️

We can take care of the surgeries.
We can pay the vet bills.
We can buy the food, medication and supplies.

But we can’t give her a home to recover in without a foster.

Not only is today National Dog Day 🐾… it also happens to be a VERY important birthday around here!

🎉 Happy Birthday to the one, the only, Kathleen Metcalf!! 🎉

Sacred Pawz simply would not exist without her.

Kathleen has fostered hundreds of animals over the years, opened her home to dogs who needed somewhere safe to land, and shared an incredible amount of knowledge, experience, and support with Stephanie and Erica along the way.

But beyond everything she does for rescue, Kathleen is just one of those rare people who is genuinely thoughtful, compassionate, kind-hearted, and always willing to show up when someone — human or animal — needs her. ❤️

This sweet boy is still looking for his perfect furever home. Good with other dogs, kids, people! A gentleman on a leash and so loving. Poncho is about 2.5-3 years old. His owners sadly had to move to assisted living and unfortunately Poncho was not allowed to come. He is potty trained, eats well, plays, and makes adorable baby noises when he sleeps. He is a perfect mix of playful and cuddly.

Poncho is a chihuahua and is fully grown. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines. If you are interested in meeting Poncho please shoot us an email - [email protected]
