This morning, a large fire broke out at Fur Ever Friends Rescue in Choctaw. Diane risked her own life to save as many animals as possible and is being treatment for smoke inhalation. Our thoughts and prayers are with Diane and the animals as they recover.

Thank you to Diane and our first responders from the City of Choctaw and surrounding communities who worked hard to contain the fire and rescue as many animals as possible.

My cousin Charlene has a home is Asheville, NC. She is safe but has flooding damage to her home. She has been applying for financial aid and any assistance that she hears about. Currently waiting to hear back. The days ahead will be filled with a lot of unknowns and that can be stressful. If you are looking to help, she is an amazing person and will be very grateful. She had to be convinced to even accept help. I even "threatened" to use a classic picture of us from back in the good old days in the 1900's. I will keep that in my back pocket for now.
